Cross any mountain passes

For Yerevan city and the main highway to Gyumri, a regular sedan with winter tires is usually fine.

Road Conditions in Winter

Highways: Generally cleared within hours of snowfall

Mountain passes: Can be closed during heavy snow (Selim Pass closes Nov-April)

City streets: Cleared but can be icy at night

Village roads: Often unplowed, require chains or 4WD
