The Route
Yerevan to Vanadzor (120 km, 1.5 hours)
Excellent highway through scenic terrain. Stop at the Spitak memorial if time allows.
Vanadzor to Bagratashen Border (60 km, 1 hour)
Good road through the Debed Canyon. Stop at Haghpat Monastery (UNESCO) — it's only a 10-minute detour.
Border Crossing (30-60 minutes)
The Bagratashen-Sadakhlo crossing is open 24/7. You'll need:
Sadakhlo to Tbilisi (95 km, 1.5 hours)
Georgian highway is modern and fast. Watch for speed cameras.
